Tune-In is an innovative program designed to challenge conventional approaches to classical and Historically informed performance (HIP) traditions by fostering connections between diverse musical cultures and broadening audience engagement.
Through a series of three interactive webinars and an in-person seminar, Tune-In brings together music venues, festival organizers, ensembles, and production houses to explore new pathways for inclusion, representation, and dynamic performance practices.
The programme will focus on key themes including:
- Inclusion & Migration Heritage: How classical and early music scenes can connect with communities of non-Western musical traditions.
- Decolonizing Perspectives: Rethinking the lens through which we view world music, folk, and ethnomusicology from a Western classical standpoint.
- Expanding Concert Experiences: Moving beyond the rigid concert hall format towards interactive, dynamic performance settings inspired by jazz, folk, and indigenous customs.
- Interdisciplinary & Immersive Approaches: Merging music with dance, spoken word, light art, video, and other art forms, as seen in many non-Western traditions.
- Outreach & Audience Engagement: Connecting with bicultural communities by engaging with values and artistic expressions from their heritage.
Tune-In offers a collaborative platform to rethink music traditions, inspire new audiences, and shape a more inclusive and dynamic musical landscape.

Costs
Participating in the webinars and the in-person training course itself is free of charge.
Participants are responsible for covering their own travel, accommodation, and food & beverage expenses for the in-person seminar.
Taking part in the webinars does not oblige you to take also part in the in-person seminar. However, to take part in the seminar we do expect that you have joined (or at least have watched) a minimum of two of the webinars. The webinars are being recorded and in case you have missed one, you will be able to watch it afterwards. The webinars are avaible on our website, in the ‘News’ section.
Participants, who have attended the in-person seminar, will receive a Personal Development Certificate.

- Passionate about Musical Innovation: Artists, musicians, and cultural producers dedicated to expanding the boundaries of classical and HIP traditions through cross-cultural collaboration and creative experimentation.
- Committed to Inclusion and Representation: Professionals and organizations eager to connect with diverse communities and amplify non-Western musical voices.
- Open to Interdisciplinary Approaches: Practitioners interested in blending music with other art forms, including dance, visual arts, film, and digital media.
- Engaged in Audience Development: Individuals focused on reaching new and diverse audiences by rethinking concert experiences and promoting cultural exchange.
- Collaborative and Curious: Applicants who thrive on collaboration, welcome new perspectives, and are keen to share and learn within a dynamic, international community
Eligibility Criteria
Open to music venues directors and programmers, festival organizers, ensembles, and music producers from across Europe and beyond.
Applicants should have experience or strong interest in cross-cultural music projects and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Proficiency in English is required to fully participate in the program.
While the webinars are open to all, participation in the in-person training course requires attendance at (or viewing of) at least two webinars.
